Executive Summary
Joseph Murray graduated a BA in Political Science from Siena College of Albany, NY (1978). He is a former Senior Executive Aide in the NY. State Senate and Assembly Environmental committees and Lobbyist, in Annapolis, MD.
With a total of 25 years of forest products industry experience, Mr. Murray is a member of the Empire State Forest Products Association, proposing, lobbying and writing, on and about legislative issues on his own accord.
In 1994, he established Forest For Tomorrow Inc, a company engaged in exportation of hardwood logs, marketing, and waste wood utilization. The company was an instrumental catalyst in the development of log-exports with Quebec Canada under NAFTA. The trade in southern New England and Mid Atlantic states now delivers over 1 billion board feet of timber to Quebec annually.
Recognition of the Entrepreneurialism was noted in a full-page article in the New York Times (Jan 2001) followed by nominations by USA TODAY, NASDAQ, CNN "Entrepreneur of the Year Award". The only forest products Industry Company ever nominated in the United States.
